President Buhari commends Asiwaju Tinubu, Mike Adenuga, Emeka Offor, other ‘public-spirited’ donors
President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday said the federal government will provide relief materials for residents of Lagos and Abuja whom he ordered to stay-at-home as part of measures to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his appreciation to the generosity of individuals and corporate organizations that have made donations to the efforts to curtail the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in the country.
The President in a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu in Abuja on Monday, said he acknowledged, with deep appreciation, the kind gesture of captains of industry, corporate entities, missionaries, musical artistes and individuals who have consistently supported ongoing efforts to mitigate COVID-19 pandemic, which is ravaging the global economy.
According to the statement, President Buhari thanked a group of oil companies, who partnered with the Nigerian National Petroleum Cooperation (NNPC) to donate $30 million.
He also appreciated contributions from All Progressives Congress National leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Dr Mike Adenuga, Modupeola and Folorunsho Alakija of Famfa Oil, and Dr Emeka Offor, who joined a list of other public-spirited Nigerians in contributing health and educational facilities.

Tiwa Savage & Toke Makinwa Sign On as Maggi Ambassadors
A sweet new deal for Tiwa Savage and Toke Makinwa.
The Nigerian songstress and media personality have signed on to be the new faces of the Nestle Nigeria‘s stock cube brand Maggi.
Although the company is yet to make an
official statement, sources confirm to BellaNaija that it is indeed
true. We are told it is quite lucrative.
Both Tiwa and Toke who are friends are also associated with other brands. Tiwa’s long list of endorsements include Pepsi, MTN and most recently Forte Oil, while Toke was named one of the faces of Lipton Tea in 2013 and had a short gig with Chicken Republic.
According to reports, Toolz
was also up for the deal, but lost out to Toke. And there is surely no
bad blood
here as Toke and Toolz were more than cordial at the Ndani TV’s “The Juice” Season 2 launch party in Lagos on Saturday night.
Congrats girls!
